It seems we never have a cook-out without a big pan of baked beans.  This is a simple recipe, it’s all mixed together right in the pan, but it’s always been a favorite.

4 15 oz. cans of Pork and Beans, drain three, leave juice in one

3/4 cup of ketchup

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 onion, finely diced (optional)

3 slices bacon

Spray casserole dish with non stick cooking spray and combine all ingredients right in the dish.

Stir to combine and top with bacon.  Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or til they’re your desired thickness.  Remove from oven and allow to cool some before serving.  They’re also good served at room temperature.  You can adjust the ingredients to suite your particular taste.  Baked beans are always a cook-out favorite at our house.
